About Me

Dr Tanwar is currently working as a Consultant – Community Paediatrics with Surrey and Borders Partnership (SABP) NHS Foundation Trust. She has nearly 20 years of Paediatric and Child Healthcare experience; and has specialised and practiced in Neurodevelopment and Behavioural problems (e.g., ADHD, Autism, sleep disorders) in children for the past 10 years. Dr Tanwar also possesses extensive experience in general and acute paediatrics. Dr Tanwar is passionate about Paediatrics and Child Health and loves working with children of all ages.

Professional Qualifications

Dr Tanwar is a member of the General Medical Council (GMC) and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH); and obtained her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Paediatrics, and M.B.B.S. both from University of Nagpur, India.

Experience

Dr Tanwar has gained post qualification professional experience through working with the National Health Service (NHS) (for the past 14 years), where she spent nearly 10 years at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital Trust (ASPH) before joining Community Paediatrics Team with Surrey and Borders NHS Trust in late 2017 (where she is currently working). Previously, she worked in India and the UAE (in Dubai) as General Paediatrician.

In addition, for the past 4 years Dr Tanwar has been practicing privately treating children with Neuro-developmental conditions in 5-18yrs age group. Additionally, she has completed various audits ensuring quality of care, assessment and treatment offered in the clinic. Dr Tanwar works with team of independent health professionals to tailor a holistic patient centric management plans.
